To lift the sail from the water you must place your feet on both sides of the mast foot and hold the lifting rope. Bend your knees slightly and let the weight fall back. Alternate your hands at the end and bring the boom to you. You already have the candle out of the water!
There are many types of wind according to their direction but the first we have to identify are those offshore. Sailing with this wind means that any mistake in any of our maneuvers will take us away from the coast. We will avoid this situation at the beginning of our learning. Only for experts!
Before throwing the board into the water, we must take into account the meteorology. If we see that there are forecasts of strong winds, storms or strong waves, we are still in time to suspend or change our activity.
The school or initiation boards have special sizes that make your first days in the water a Little bit easier. The generous volume allows you to support the weight of your body and the rigging sail, preventing you from sinking. Another important measure of a school board is the width that will give you stability.
The most spectacular modality is the one that develops in the waves. Riders take advantage of the power of the wind in their sails to throw their boards against the waves and use them as take-off ramps. The high technology of their material allows them to make endless jumps and impossible pirouettes, each with their own names, called TRICKS.
Knowing how to swim is basic and doing it correctly in a distance of 50 meters is essential for windsurfing. Items like a helmet and a life jacket will add more confidence to your aquaticity.
